Gabriel Couvreur founded, with his wife Odile, the Maison Couvreur-Deglaire on the death of his father in the early 1970s, developing their vineyards and modernized operations year after year. Their daughter Isabelle and her husband Sombath are today responsible for continuing the family tradition, and studied together at the Avize viticulture school in 2005. Meanwhile Gabriel and Odile gradually passed on all their know-how in the vineyard and cellar. The retirement of Isabelle's parents in 2010 marks the starting point of their new adventure. In 2017 the fusion of their cultures (Sombath is of Cambodian origin) and their desire to develop the family business resulted in the launch of a new identity and the creation of the Maison Couvreur-Prak.
