In what can easily be described as one of the most spectacular villages in France—thanks as much to its unspoiled natural beauty as to its magnificent medieval architecture—this Cantou, with its two terraces, naturally welcomes travelers as well as locals, who appreciate the quality of the service and cuisine here. The building, rustic like the rest of the village, exudes a cheerful atmosphere where friends can gather around a straightforward menu featuring well-executed dishes of the day. So, at the table: foie gras with gingerbread coulis; a fillet of red mullet confit in olive oil, vinegared rice, teriyaki sauce, grapefruit, and a crisp vegetable salad; a duck fillet with glazed seasonal vegetables and a red berry sauce; and a mascarpone tartlet with lemon verbena and roasted peach.
