End of contract, time for change. As of Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Yannick Alléno is the new chef of the "Monsieur Dior" address, located in the Dior boutique on avenue Montaigne, in Paris.

Yannick Alléno, chef of 21 toques, takes over the reins of this haute couture address, replacing Jean Imbert. Erected in memory of Christian Dior, the aim is to cultivate "with finesse" the taste of the founder of the eponymous house "for the art of gastronomy". Boutique, museum, garden... Since 2022, the LVMH group's haute couture house has added a gastronomic address to this space.

A regular chef at Dior

The choice of Yannick Alléno was no accident. Back in 2011, the chef headed up the kitchens of the first Café Dior in Saint-Tropez. He is also the man behind 1947 du Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, another LVMH address. His return to the Dior world now seems an obvious choice.

The 56-year-old chef will take charge not only of the restaurant, but also of the Le Jardin patisserie and the Avenue Montaigne café. These three complementary venues will extend the Dior universe between boutique, museum and garden, and will be inaugurated in 2022.

A menu in the image of Monsieur Dior

To design his menu, Yannick Alléno asked himself: " What would Christian Dior do if he were in my shoes? "His inspiration: revisit the couturier's tastes and reinvent his world. As the chef explains:"In the manner of Christian Dior, I am part of my era; what I propose is to bring the couturier's soul to the forefront of contemporary culinary creation. Imagining a restaurant according to his vision, bringing his spirit to life at the very heart of the boutique."

On the menu, then, are a Christian Dior egg or sole, langoustine corolla, veal or a tomato "en trompe-l'œil de Granville", a reference to Christian Dior's childhood home in the same town, now open to the public.

The menu was created in the same way as the couturier worked, paying close attention to shapes, textures and silhouettes. Yannick Alléno also incorporated floral notes: nature and flowers inspired the artist when designing his creations.

Already at the helm of 18 establishments, including L'Abysse Monte-Carlo (5 toques), Pavyllon (3 toques) and Alléno Paris (5 toques), the chef continues to expand internationally, from London to Dubai. With Dior, he has created an address that fuses his culinary art with the timeless elegance of the fashion house.
