Producer Since 1967, the Poget family has cultivated a rare passion, where the Atlantic and maritime traditions unite: that of exceptional oysters. Heirs to an ancestral know-how, they have succeeded in making their name a signature, awarded several times at the Concours Général Agricole, and sought after by epicureans and the finest restaurants alike. In the Marennes-Oléron basin, time seems to stand still. This is the birthplace of the Galon d'Or, a fleshy oyster full of character, with controlled salinity and remarkable persistence on the palate. But the real nugget is the Exquise. Raised according to a unique process, they spend six months on the unspoilt coastline of Utah Beach, Normandy, gaining a finesse and minerality that will delight the most demanding palates. You'll find them in fishmongers' shops, as well as on the menus of gourmet restaurants. And for lovers of the sea in search of authenticity in the heart of Paris, the Pogets have opened an oyster bar on the Île Saint-Louis, a confidential address that has become a chic rendezvous for lovers of fine things.
