Winemaker
Frédéric Pourtalié and his sister Muriel have enjoyed success since their first vintage in 1999. The vineyard, shared mainly between Puéchabon and Aniane, is planted on a lacustrine limestone plateau. In a vast cellar, a single large red blend is produced, aged for twenty-four months in barrel, under the AOC Terrasses du Larzac appellation. The barrel-aged white has been available since 2004. Montcalmès has become an undisputed benchmark in the Languedoc.
