Gault&Millau's review
Traces of the family can be found in Champagne as far back as the 16th century, when the grandfather, Jehan, bore the name Roualet, which takes its etymology from "rouale", an ancient tool used to work the vines. It wasn't until 1922 that Jane Roualet founded the company. Since then, Jean, Gilles and now Brice have taken over the estate. The estate comprises 5 hectares of Premier Cru, planted with the three main Champagne grape varieties. Each is vinified separately before being blended to the house's own taste. Here, most bottles are still riddled by hand. Brice, a former chef, offers "Champagne and Cuisine" tasting menus on reservation.
