Familial depuis quatre générations, le domaine est aujourd’hui géré par Clémence et Charles Egly, pour qui le raisin est primordial. Ils exploitent avec une démarche plutôt bourguignonne 16 ha en grand cru à Ambonnay, Verzenay et Bouzy et également à Vrigny (premier cru). Leurs champagnes sont d’une grande précision, aux matières veloutées et épicées. Le blanc de noirs « Vieilles Vignes » est littéralement magique, et le coteaux-champenois rouge d’Ambonnay est toujours au sommet de la région. La gamme s’est élargie depuis quelques années avec des vignes acquises sur le massif de Saint-Thierry, au nord-ouest de Reims, où les sols sont davantage sableux et la définition de vin se révèle différente.
