Champagne Anthony Betouzet

Champagne Anthony Betouzet - Goutte de Coteaux
89 / 100 Champagne
Vintage : BSA
Type : Brut
Classification : Rosé
Color :
Effervescent rosé
Budget : 25€ to 45€
Gault&Millau's review 2025
The garnet-pink color gives way to a bouquet instantly reminiscent of strawberry charlotte. It's all there: red berries and a creamy, almost vanilla-like and very delicately peppery side. The palate is just as full-bodied, but more dynamic, with a taut, energetic texture that recalls pink citrus (grapefruit), small red berries and blood orange. The finish retains its tension. Perfect with a red shrimp curry.

Anthony Betouzet works on the family estate created in 1963 in Dormans, in the Marne valley. He decided to produce under his own Champagne brand in 2016, after his parents retired. Today, Anthony and Émilie cultivate 7 ha of vines comprising the three main grape varieties used in Champagne wines (chardonnay, pinot noir, meunier), enabling them to offer a wide and varied range. Their specifications are strict: organic certification since 2023, minimum ageing of five years on lees for vintage champagnes, manual riddling...
