Beautiful deep pink with salmon hues for this rosé, predominantly made from Chardonnay grapes. A nose of fresh raspberry and burlat cherry is followed, on aeration, by beautifully crafted floral notes. On the palate, the wine is suave on entry, before stretching out into perfectly preserved fruitiness. This straightforward cuvée, perhaps a little heavy-handed for our taste, is the perfect accompaniment to salmon gravlax or a bowl of strawberries drizzled with a lemon verbena infusion.

The vineyard, cultivated for four generations, has been planted since 1919 on the hill of Montgueux, near Troyes, where the appellation was obtained by Hélène's grandfather, Léon. The cuvées are made from 45-year-old vines, mostly Chardonnays planted on clay-limestone soil from the Upper Cretaceous period. The Beaugrands have opted for integrated viticulture, favoring grass cover.
