Cristina and Pierre Chomet open a new restaurant with Catalan accents

Cristina and Pierre Chomet open a new restaurant with Catalan accents

After Ambos in 2022, it's Tina's turn to open its doors. The new showcase opened in the same location as the couple's first address. A new restaurant with world flavours

Pierre Chomet and his partner Cristina Chomet Tejeda have opened their new establishment opposite the Senate on rue Vaugirard, in the 6ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. The restaurant was born of an opportunity to recover premises in the direct vicinity of Ambos. According to the companion of the former Top Chef contestant, "there's a lack of tapas bars in Paris, I miss them, I haven't yet found a relaxing place like this where people come to nibble and have a good time". As you'll have gathered, this time around, the offer isn't geared towards fine technical gastronomy. The emphasis is on simplicity, and the chef's aim is to have an establishment where "you eat a good product with a good glass of wine". On the menu, a mix of flavors from Catalonia.

A little Catalonia in Paris

With five years' experience of life on the other side of the Pyrenees, in Catalonia to be precise, the chef wanted to translate this into her menu. In this new establishment, she will be supported by Lucas, one of the members of the Ambos team who "wanted a change of scene", she explains. In addition, a new arrival in the dining room will complete the team. On the kitchen side, the menu will feature a selection of tapas

Rhubarb emerges from the shadows

The queen of rustic pies and crumbles, rhubarb is best enjoyed as a fruit, whereas it is a vegetable. This original plant leaves behind its old-fashioned trappings to spice up the most creative dishes and awaken both sweet and savory palates. One of the first spring vegetables, but the most recent to hit our plates, it's making a name for itself time and time again.
