Anne and Caroline Debbasch have published a book dedicated to chocolate, without recipes or illustrations, but which should make you melt with pleasure. Find out what it's all about.

It's a declaration of love to chocolate! For their new book, "Les 101 mots du chocolat", Anne and Caroline Debbasch, aka the Chocolate Sisters, aren't proposing a collection of recipes or photos, but "words to munch on without moderation", paying homage to their favorite delicacy.

To this end, the two sisters and collaborators have created a book in a format reminiscent of an XL chocolate bar, featuring a hundred or so texts, all written by cocoa-loving contributors. While chocolatiers, pastry chefs, cooks and sommeliers naturally lent themselves to the game, other more surprising personalities slipped in among the authors.

Chocolate as seen by doctors and athletes

So, alongside the words of Patrick Roger, Pierre Marcolini, Jean-Paul Hévin, Frédéric Bau, Claire Damon, Anne-Sophie Pic and Alexandre Mazzia, we find those of "doctors ready to probe this carnal passion, athletes for whom chocolate and performance are not mutually exclusive".athletes for whom chocolate and performance are one and the same, artists from all horizons, men of religion absolving us of all guilt, but also journalists with sharp pens", states the book's press release.

This mouth-watering bar is also prefaced by Pierre Hermé, for whom "chocolate is a universal language". "Les 101 mots du chocolat" is proof of this, with a collection of words to be nibbled over and over, to discover all the emotions this sweet treat arouses.

Les 101 mots du chocolat, Anne and Caroline Debbasch, Éditions Archibooks, 12.90 euros.

"Brittany is home to 700 speciesof seaweed, around thirty of which are authorized for consumption. Each has a unique flavor, texture and color.
