From November 6, 2024, Christofle and Leboncoin are organizing a vintage silver sale, featuring restored antique pieces. Some finds have even been diverted from their original purpose.
Silverware, often associated with special occasions, is making a comeback in our interiors, thanks to a bold collaboration between Leboncoin, Christofle, and decorating duo ODA. On November 6, 2024, an exceptional sale of vintage silverware organized jointly by Leboncoin and Christofle will highlight restored antique pieces, bringing a new dynamic to this art of the table.
Bargains for your Christmas table
Christofle, an iconic house renowned for its innovation in silversmithing since the 19th century, is joining forces with Leboncoin to celebrate the circular economy and the timeless charm of vintage silverware. Together, they invite people to rediscover these treasures of yesteryear, sublimated by meticulous restoration in Christofle's workshops, where each piece is authenticated and refurbished to combine durability and elegance.
To mark the event, ODA, a duo renowned for their creations that are both contemporary and steeped in history, were commissioned to find unusual pieces on Leboncoin and reinterpret them. With a touch of audacity, ODA diverts silverware from its traditional uses: candelabras transformed into egg cups, knife holders turned into butter knives, and much more. These creations are presented across three festive moments: aperitif, dinner and brunch, each setting harmoniously blending tradition and modernity.
This project demonstrates that silverware can find its place in our daily lives, with elegance and originality. More than a simple nostalgia, this collaboration highlights a resolutely contemporary vision of vintage, where each object has a story to tell and can be reinvented to become a key element of our tables and our lives. Visit Leboncoin and Christofle on November 6 to unearth your next nuggets.
