After conquering social networks, Dubai's extra-filled chocolate is inspiring French artisans. A top-of-the-range 100% handmade version arrives in France, in a very limited edition.

For over a year, a new chocolate trend from Dubai has been setting social networks alight. Tasting videos of these extra-filled creations are racking up millions of views. The principle? A chocolate bar broken in two, with a smooth pistachio coulis and an irresistible crunch.

The origins of Dubai chocolate

Behind this phenomenon is an Anglo-Egyptian entrepreneur, Sarah Hamouda. During her pregnancy, she imagined a chocolate bar combining the richness of pistachios with the crunchiness of Kadaïf, the star ingredient of Middle Eastern pastries. She named it "Can't Get Knafeh of it", in reference to the famous Kadaïf-based dessert. Made by hand, this delicacy is sold exclusively at Fix Dessert Chocolatier, in Dubai, for $25. A dazzling success that inspired many French artisans, however, the rare editions available were quickly sold out. So where can we find this product that has so many French consumers drooling?

A high-end reinterpretation, 100% handmade

In response to this trend, Manufacture Cluizel has come up with its own version: the Éclat d'Orient bar. A milk chocolate bar from the La Laguna Plantation, entirely handmade. inside: a generous heart of Iranian pistachio and Kadaïf vermicelli, for a texture that's both melting and crunchy. With no artificial flavoring, this limited edition is available in 2025 numbered copies, to mark the start of the new year.

Available since February 3 in stores and on the Maison Cluizel website, the Éclats d'Orient bar retails for 9 euros per 45 g. A refined way to sample this trend, in an artisanal, French version.
