Not far from the medieval abbey of Sablonceaux lie the vineyards of Domaine de La Chauvillière, where, long before the phylloxera invasion, intense viticultural activity reigned. But it wasn't until the early 1980s, with the planting of dedicated grape varieties such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot, that the estate expanded to 65 ha, 22 of which are devoted to 8 cuvées of Charentais wines.
